Humankind is a creative agency that serves nonprofit organizations with inclusive and transformative design to elevate visual communications. With a passion to share stories of beautiful causes, Lauren started her design agency with the heart to maximize awareness through brand strategy, storytelling, and conversion-driven website design.
Before working together, Lauren was struggling to develop her own brand for years. She wanted to position her work as an agency to gain higher end clients and hire creative professionals to build more comprehensive brands and websites.
STRATEGY + DESIGN MEANING
Inspired by perfect imperfections of humanity, I created a blend of a calligraphic sans with a hand-drawn feel for the logotype. This concept conveys an approachable, timeless, a one-of-a-kind feel appealing to nonprofit organizations.
Honoring traditional woodblock printing, the logomark hands represents the focus on humanity and the value of empathy of her business. The leaf represents growth towards positive change as Humankind brings stories into the light. The design as a whole represents her team having their hands in the process of making an impact.
Their audience perceives this concept as meaningful, global, and organic.
