The slight variants in weight of the JOYN's logotype conveys a modern yet handmade feel. The minimal logo communicates an innovative, luxurious, high quality brand to their socially conscious audience.
After having several ideas and logos in their previous brand identity, our aim was to simplify the brand for a modern, luxurious look and feel. We wanted to maintain brand integrity while also innovating a new aesthetic. For the logotype, I designed it to transfer easily into their leather handbags while creating a timeless look that would last for years to come.
By implementing a cohesive brand identity, JOYN was able to refresh their look and consolidate their overall brand identity. Their aim is to launch their new brand + website in 2021 to elevate their customer experience and continue to create holistic employment for marginalized people who wouldn’t otherwise have work.
When JOYN approached me, they felt like their branding wasn't representing exactly who they were and where they wanted to go. It was getting them by, but they really wanted the visual language to attract a younger, socially conscious consumer.
